Mount Monadnock Painting to be Exhibited at the Historical Society of Cheshire County

Erik Koeppel "Mt. Monadnock" 9 x 16 inches. Oil on panel
The painting above will be on exhibit May 29th to Sept. 5th, 2015 at the Historical Society of Cheshire County in Keene, N.H. as part of a group exhibition, Treasured Places, Protected Spaces.

Here's the shows description from the website:

"From Hinsdale to Hillsborough and Walpole to Wilton, hundreds of tracts of land have been conserved in the Monadnock region so that the area’s natural beauty will be preserved for the benefit of future generations.  These protected spaces range from small tracts such as the 1.5 acre Loon Island on Silver Lake in Harrisville to the 13,000 acre Pisgah State Park, the largest state park in New Hampshire.  These properties are treasured for their natural beauty, important wildlife habitat and revitalizing recreational opportunities. These properties will be recognized and celebrated in this wonderful collaboration between regional artists, the Historical Society of Cheshire County, the Monadnock Conservancy, and local and regional environmental groups."

I believe sales from the show will benefit the Historical Society, and Conservancy in part.

There will be an opening reception Friday, May 29th from 4:30 to 8:00p.m. at the Historical Society

246 Main Street Keene, NH 03431
