Jackson Historical Society Opening Reception Friday, Oct. 14th, 5 to 8p.m.

"The Jackson Five," Museum exhibition of 5 artists who have or have had their studios in Jackson, NH.This show will be on display in conjunction with the 14th Annual White Mountain Art Show and Sale. A catalog for the show will be available.

We had a wonderful opening in Bethel, M.E. on Saturday. The show will be up until Oct. 14th, 2016 if you'd like to view it. Tuesday thru Friday, from 1 to 4p.m.

Shapleigh, Benjamin Tupper Newman, Samuel Colman, Charles E. Beckett, James Thorpe Flaherty, Samuel W. Griggs, Franklin Stanwood, Hippolyte Louis Garnier, Samuel Lancaster Gerry, Lauren Sansaricq, and Erik Koeppel.
The exhibit and sale will continue at the Dr. Moses Mason House, Tuesday thru Friday, from 1 to 4 pm, through October 14.

Two White Mountain Shows this Fall

I'll be participating in two exhibitions of White Mountain Art this Fall as follows:


1. The Bethel Historical Society

Bethel, ME 04217

"The Painters Perspective: Artists Among the White Hills"

We regret that due to unforeseen circumstances, the planned one-day White Mountain art exhibit scheduled for July 2 has been postponed. The event will take place at a later date with works on view for a longer period of time.

One Day Art Exhibit at the Bethel Historical Society

White Mountain Art Exhibit
H5390-L77316018On Saturday, July 2, the Society will present a special, one-day-only exhibition of remarkable White Mountain landscapes in conjunction with the Bethel Art Fair. “A Day in the White Mountains” will include some 30 paintings from one of the largest private collections of White Mountain art in the region.  On view will be works by Benjamin Champney, Aaron Draper Shattuck, Delbert Dana Coombs, Edward Hill, Frank H. Shapleigh, Benjamin Tupper Newman, Thaddeus Defrees, Charles E. Beckett, Samuel W. Griggs, Franklin Stanwood, Hippolyte Louis Garnier, Samuel Lancaster Gerry, Lauren Sansaricq, and Erik Koeppel.
 
Assuming paintings from this private collection are not for sale, but should be a great show for viewing!

History Meets The Arts Show in Gettysburg, PA June 10-12th

I'll have paintings at the History Meets the Arts Show in Gettysburg, PA this weekend (June 10-12th). Lauren Sansaricq and I will be in attendance, so come say, "Hello."

The 19th annual History Meets the Arts (HMTA) show will be held at the Gettysburg College Ballroom, June10-12 in historic Gettysburg, PA. Produced by Lord Nelson's Gallery, you'll meet with 35 artists in person during this three day event. Artists include painters,sculptors and traditional 18th century period accoutrement makers, in addition to accomplished historical book authors. The artists represent a wide variety of genres including 18th & 19th century periods, Native American, wildlife, landscape, nostalgic, and more.
This will be your opportunity to see and purchase the latest original paintingsand speak to the artists inperson.You can discover more in depth information aboutone of the attending author's books, or learn how a bronze sculpture is created from the original clay to the completed bronze and all the required foundry work. Then explore contemporary 18th century period accoutrements made by some of the country’s finest artisans.
