The 19th annual History Meets the Arts (HMTA) show will be held at the Gettysburg College Ballroom, June10-12 in historic Gettysburg, PA. Produced by Lord Nelson's Gallery, you'll meet with 35 artists in person during this three day event. Artists include painters,sculptors and traditional 18th century period accoutrement makers, in addition to accomplished historical book authors. The artists represent a wide variety of genres including 18th & 19th century periods, Native American, wildlife, landscape, nostalgic, and more.
This will be your opportunity to see and purchase the latest original paintingsand speak to the artists inperson.You can discover more in depth information aboutone of the attending author's books, or learn how a bronze sculpture is created from the original clay to the completed bronze and all the required foundry work. Then explore contemporary 18th century period accoutrements made by some of the country’s finest artisans. Discover the art in powder horns, porcupine quillwork, hand forged knives, tomahawks, flintlock longrifles, colonial pottery and canvas floorcloths, and more.
