Paintings of the New England Coast

I made my way to the shore to paint this summer and just finished a few of the paintings of the New England Coast. Most of these were done near Odiorne Point State Park (one of the few places on the NH coast that isn't too crowded).

Here they are:
Erik Koeppel "Morning at Odiorne Point" 8 x 16 inches. Oil on Panel

Erik Koeppel, "Sunrise at Little Harbor, NH" 10 x 16 inches, Oil on Panel

Erik Koeppel, "Wave Study" 5 x 10 inches. Oil on Panel

Erik Koeppel, "New Hampshire Coast" 8 x 16 inches Oil on Panel

Erik Koeppel "Morning Light on the New England Coast (Studio Painting In Progress) 14 x 24 inches Oil on Canvas

Here are some of the Hudson River School paintings that inspired me in handling the coast.

Thomas Cole

John Frederick Kensett

Sanford Robinson Gifford (study)

Alfred Thomas Bricher

I really enjoyed the poetry of the Atlantic, and hope to handle the coast more often. It has such peaceful Beauty.
